Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Permalink (the “Service”), operated by Michael Berger, Friedhofstraße 38, 73650 Winterbach, Germany (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Permalink lets you create short links whose destination you can change at any time, with click analytics. Free and paid plans are described on our pricing page and may change with notice.
2. Accounts
You must provide an accurate email and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to create or redirect links to:
- malware, phishing, or fraudulent content;
- content that is illegal where you or your audience are located;
- spam or any use that violates a third party’s rights.
We may disable links or accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.
4. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis via our payment processor (Stripe). You can cancel at any time; your subscription then stops renewing and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide refunds for the current or past billing periods. Prices are shown inclusive or exclusive of tax as indicated at checkout.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the destinations you link to. You grant us the rights needed to operate the Service (storing and serving your links and redirecting traffic).
6. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but provide the Service “as is” without warranties. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
7. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from the Service being unavailable, interrupted, delayed, or failing to function as expected — including, without limitation, lost profits, lost data, missed clicks or redirects, or business interruption. You are responsible for how you rely on the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law — in particular for intent (Vorsatz) or gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit), for injury to life, body, or health, or under the German Product Liability Act. Where we are liable for slight negligence in breach of an essential contractual duty (Kardinalpflicht), our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany.
